I gave it 2.5 stars because it has a lot of potential. The artwork is very nice, game concept is not bad at all, and I think it wouldn't be so boring if it didn't glitch the whole entire time. Here are a list of the glitches I found:
-When you get past the first wave, the second wave doesn't come, making it into a never ending game of nothing but eating humans. It's time consuming to try and restart the level until it does work. This is one of the main things needing to be fixed.
-When you click on the mother tree, a good portion of the time it uses up some of its' attack on itself. Also another problem with this is trying to click out of it so you don't have to use it on nothing and waste an attack you might need a minute later. A good way to fix these issues is by having the coding only let it attack near the ground so you can click up in the air and not have an issue if you accidently selected the mother tree and now have to use up the attack.
-Trying to move the characters is a bitch in the game, specifically when there are enemies near-by. When trying to move or use Venusbite or Ironbite, it proves to be impossible if there is more then one enemy to be right next to your creature. You can't send out the minions, and you can't move away because they go straight into attacking the next enemy. A good way to solve it with those characters is letting them move when they are eating, so they can get away or be placed right where you want them to be.
-The game lags about half the time in the levels, and it's usually when enemies are attacking you, which makes it even ten times harder to try and move the aliens away or use the special attacks.
-Half the time when trying to click the buttons for upgrading or evolving in a level, the buttons don't work. This also goes along with the special attacks. Sometimes the buttons get confused as well, and you click something like upgrade and evolve happens instead.
Here's some things that I find would make the game play better:
-The tutorial boxes continuously pop up in the main menu after having read them and exited out of them, which gets pretty annoying. Please include an option to turn off the tutorial, because it can be extremely bothersome.
-Showing which achievements you have earned from previous levels so you know which ones you still have to go back to earn.
-Letting the game have an option to make it bigger so it's easier to see and enjoy the graphics.
All in all, those are the notes I have for this game, it could be a lot better, but it wasn't bad. I liked the different type of levels you had going on as well, and maybe next time you create a game like this you could get more of that going.
It could be a lot better. There is a bug which doesn't let you gain any stars in popularity, or it does but only for the first few days and then shits out. I will be on the last thing on the page and not have any stars filled in. I think it would also be better with different things that could happen when you play a gig, like "The place was packed and they loved your band, +bonus money" ,"The place barely had anyone there, so you only got paid half." , "You got the night where you're supposed to go wrong. It's in two days." or even more interesting stuff like "Joey met a fan backstage who has cancer and signed their autograph PR goes up" , "The band got food poisoning on their way to the show" or "Harry was late because his girlfriend wouldn't stop nagging him". There are so many options you could put. Maybe you could have more pages of gigs, and put the time frame for like 100 or 200 days so that it's not as boring to try and complete. Another error is the days will say NaN if you load it.
All in all, I think this game has a lot of potential, but I like the concept you came up with. Keep working at it.
The controls were poorly done, if you clicked the broom, it would take you to the sandwich with the spider. If it was only one thing that did that, it would be easy to accept, but EVERYTHING is like that. You click half way across the room and it takes you to something you're not even near. Half of the things you have to do for this game also make no sense, like, you find all the keys but you have to get the keys out of things with tweezers? Not a very good concept, it was unrealistic and very annoying that you had to have certain things to pick up the keys. The music isn't bad, but you could have made it noises like the people from outside trying to get their money back yelling every once in a while to make it more suspenseful and so that you wouldn't have to read in the author comments what this game is supposed to be about (everyone can guess it's a point'n'click game of some sort from the beginning). All in all, you could have done a lot more with this game that you just went easy mode on, and it ended up not being very entertaining or fun. The drawings and animations were not half bad, just needed a lot more effort then what seemed to go into it.
This was amazing. It was so simple and so cute. I really wanted to continue on with the story the whole because of the way you'd put the first part of the sentence when you got to the level, and when you beat it the rest would come. I was very happy with the music and I thoroughly enjoy the cheats. Great game.
In battle six, I think it is, if you induce poison it doesn't matter, the enemies health does not go down at all.
The bug where the wizard disappears off the map when charging down the screen is still there. I cannot beat the game because he never comes back >.>
I really liked the game, but when I would have the people's product ready, I would click on them and they would run away and not take their stuff. Artwork is pretty good, and I surprisingly don't get annoyed by the song playing in the back ground. Good job.
This game, I feel, is wonderfully made. Like mentioned before, the controls are sloppy, but you should (if you're a real gamer, that is ;] ) get used to it pretty quickly. I think it adds to it that the controls are not super easy, so that way you have a more challenging time trying to control this character that you really have no clue what he is.
The atmosphere of it is amazing, and really draws you in, to complete the story, but another thing someone has already mentioned, is the permanent saves. Unfortunately flash crashed on me after I had gotten to a level where there are 4 guns to the left and more arm claw things. It was extremely upsetting that I lost all that progress that I had made and that now to complete the game I have to go through it again.
I hope you make more stuff, because I think your work is amazing and goes together very smoothly and nicely. It's a masterpiece and going into my favourites.
There is a glitch in this game when you're fighting two huge guys who throw the chainsaws into the ground if you throw the octopus it dissapears. It's annoying... -.-'
First off, there is no save button. Second, what is saved gets deleted when I refresh the page. Dude, this bug sucks cause I spent like five hours on it.
